Welcome to my blog!

My first blog post... how exciting! Over the next few days I will probably be making several posts on product feedback from my freebie hunting and Arbonne business. And I'll definitely be doing one for the party the lovely Toni Oakes is hosting for me tomorrow! Later on I will start running the giveaways for my Arbonne business here since Facebook's rules make it so difficult to run them there.

I guess this is a good point to tell you what I love about my job, and why I chose to be an Arbonne Consultant. I was first introduced to Arbonne in February of 2011 by my husband's cousin Christine. She had made the following post on facebook:
"I am looking to partner with smart and determined males and females! They must care more about helping others than helping themselves and must have drive and determination. We will mentor but they MUST possess a desire to improve their lives and the lives of others. If you are this person or know this person, please contact me or have them contact me so we can chat. Thanks and have a great day!"

At that point I was working as a cashier and deli clerk at the local grocery store and to say that I was discontent with my job would be an understatement. So, I contacted Christine about the opportunity she was offering. We chatted for a week or so and then something happened at work that made me decide that I wanted out. It wasn't anything huge, but it really made me feel terrible. It was no longer worth being away from my two children and husband, and I took no satisfaction in it. So I paid the consultant registration fee, and in March I began my business. It was the best decision I have ever made. I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in the Fast Track calls that were hosted by Audra Berger; she made a HUGE impact on my business, and I could not thank her enough. My business started out slow at first, that initial launch has honestly been the hardest part but I have been fortunate enough to have amazing ladies who have volunteered to host parties for me, and my business has taken off since! Persistence and consistency I have found are key. You can't just give up because a handful of people have told you no. Keep your shoulders up and head high, and you will get where you want to go!

Remember, one of the major parts of making this business work is finding people to work with as a team. No one wants to work with someone who gives up at the first sign of resistance. You want to work with someone who finds a way no matter what, and proves themselves a competent problem solver!

Alright, that sounds like a nice prep-speech. But this blog is not only about my Arbonne business (though it is a huge part of my life!) It's also about my adventures in the realm of freebie hunting. So far, I have had a bit of success with my hunting thanks to several groups on Facebook including: Frugals, Freebies and More and Free N Clear (I'll add more as I get permission)  I've received Mark. samples, Gucci samples, Duck Tape Sheets, coloring books, deodorant, dog toys, recipe books, posters, and more! And these pages keep you really up to date on who's giving away what. They're definitely the Who's Who of freebies!

Alright, as I mentioned earlier I have a party to work tomorrow, so I will blog some more later! Thanks for reading, and hopefully I get some followers!

Man, I had NO IDEA this business of yours had taken off as much as it has! I'm happy for you.

Ooh, freebie hunting. Like the sound of that...
