Shadora Review!

I haven't really been able to keep a consistent post flow recently, and I do apologize for that! But, here I am with another product review!
The advertised picture of the necklace
First, let me begin with a brief introduction of Shadora. I found them through their Facebook page, on their main site they do awesome discount deals for jewelry and on their Facebook page they do constant giveaways to promote business. They're both worth checking out.

Anyway, I entered their contest for the necklace pictured at the right, a sterling silver 1 carat diamond necklace that they retail for 59.99, and state the list price is 599.99. I posted the giveaway to my Facebook as instructed, and one of my friends entered the giveaway and won. Because she entered through my link I won the same prize. I was ECSTATIC. We received our confirmations promptly, and were even sent shipping confirmations with tracking numbers so we could track our orders. For a freebie, I was very impressed. The first few times I tried tracking my package through my number (I couldn't wait to see the necklace!) the USPS tracking system told me it didn't exist, after two days of this I wrote customer service, and received a prompt response with an apology, and instructions to check my tracking through USPS piece mail, it worked perfectly. :-)

The necklace came in two days later (delivered to my post office box, a nice feature that not all sites will accommodate for), gift wrapped in a cute black box with a bow. Inside the box the necklace was in a little baggy. I LOVED the packaging! It would have been such a convenient way to give it as a gift.

The necklace I won
Size reference, the necklace on me
Now we get to the product, since we've covered service and delivery. To the right is a picture of the necklace I received. As you can see, the diamond chips are slightly larger than the necklace that was advertised, and up close they are not as clear as the diamonds in the initial picture either. They have a much milkier appearance. The silver has a high polish however, and the (925) stamp on both the pendant and chain verifies the quality of the silver. It's also a fairly large pendant, bigger than I expected for sure. Overall it is still a very pretty necklace, though I was a little disappointed at the discrepancies from the advertisement. However, as a sales person I can understand that there are variations in ANY product, and the settings for the diamonds seem sturdy. And I still couldn't help taking a ton of pictures of the necklace because as I said, it is still a pretty piece. I would be willing to order from Shadora in the future, and still regularly participate in their giveaways.

For anyone who's curious, I've set the necklace aside for my daughter, since she was born in April and her birthstone is diamond. It'll make a pretty good story for her when she gets it, and a demonstration to her that sometimes it's okay to enter the giveaways, you never know when you might win!

Check back in the next couple days, I will be posting more over the weekend, possibly multiple posts in a day! As I said, I've fallen behind! And be sure to enter my $25 American Express Giveaway in the post below, you never know if August 15th will be YOUR lucky day!
